Administrators took charge of Swimming Nature UK on 19 August and its Finchley Road office has gone. Two sister companies at that address stay active.
The company behind the Swimming Nature swim school has gone into administration. Swimming Nature UK Limited was registered and trading from 843 Finchley Road, NW11 8NA until this month, and three joint administrators took charge of it on 19 August.
Two other companies in the same group are still listed as active at that address, so this is not the end of the brand on the public record. It is the end of one company in it.
What the register records
The Gazette, the official public record, carries the appointment notice (notice 5197414). It sets out:

Companies House shows the paperwork landing a fortnight later. The appointment of an administrator was filed on 1 September, the registered office was moved the same day from Finchley Road to the administrators’ offices in Gresham Street, and a statement of the administrator’s proposals was filed on 3 September (the filing history).
That proposals document is the one that would say what the administrators intend to do with the business. It had not been published when we checked, and Companies House gives no date for it beyond “available in 10 days”.
The company’s own record also shows its accounts are overdue. The last set filed was made up to 31 August 2024, and the next were due by 30 August 2026 (the company record).
Two sister companies are still active
Swimming Nature UK Limited was not the only company at 843 Finchley Road, and the other two are not in administration.

Swimming Nature Holdings Limited was incorporated in October 2018 and is registered under the code for the activities of head offices (its record). Swimming Nature Enterprise Ltd dates from February 2013 and is registered under “other education not elsewhere classified” (its record). Both filed accounts made up to 31 August 2025 and neither carries an insolvency marker.
So an administration notice against one company in a group does not on its own tell a customer that lessons have stopped. It tells you that one legal entity is now run by insolvency practitioners rather than its directors.
What we could not confirm today
We could not establish which pools are affected, or whether lessons are still running. Swimming Nature’s website loads every page, including its “our pools” list, in the browser only. Each address on the site returns the same empty shell to a direct request, so the venue list, the booking pages and any customer notice are all unreadable to us today. The company has published no statement we can find, and the administrators’ proposals are not yet public.
We are not repeating what any other outlet has said about the effect on lessons. When the proposals are published, we will report what they actually say.
What it means for you
If you pay Swimming Nature for lessons, the practical position is this.
- The administrators are now the point of contact, not the company’s old customer service. S&W Partners LLP give a number of 020 4617 5500 for the joint administrators, and an alternative contact of Alexandra Nastase at alexandra.nastase@swgroup.com.
- Money paid in advance to a company in administration is an unsecured claim. Unsecured creditors are near the back of the queue and often recover little or nothing. Register the claim anyway, in writing, with the administrators.
- Check how you paid. If you paid by credit card and the lessons cost more than £100, Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act may make the card provider jointly liable for the whole amount. If you paid by debit card, ask your bank about a chargeback, which usually has to be started within 120 days.
- Cancel any standing order or continuous payment authority yourself. Your bank can stop it. Do not assume a company in administration will.
- Do not act on the assumption that lessons have stopped. Nothing on the official record says so, and we could not reach the company’s own venue list. Ask the pool operator directly before writing off a booking.
