We checked 8 places selling real Christmas trees near Barnet, from the Finchley pitch to rent-a-tree firms, for 2026 prices and dates. Updated November 2026.

There are eight places selling real Christmas trees to Barnet homes in 2026, and this guide puts them in one place with prices, opening dates and delivery areas. Most people will land on the Pines and Needles pitch in Finchley, the only pop-up inside the borough with 2026 dates; Christmas on the Hill, a family-run north London firm that sells and rents trees; and Creekside Christmas, which delivers free inside the M25. Every entry was checked against the seller’s own website on 5 November 2026.

We have not bought a tree from any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry says what the seller says it does, with its own prices. Barnet has few garden centres of its own, so four of the eight are delivery firms, and three are pitches just over the borough boundary that deliver into Barnet postcodes.

Garden centre

5. Capital Gardens, Alexandra Palace

Capital Gardens runs the garden centre and cafe in the grounds of Alexandra Palace, the nearest big garden centre to the south and east of the borough. Its Christmas pages say its shops sell freshly cut Nordmann firs, Fraser firs and Norway spruces, and pot-grown trees that can be planted out afterwards, along with decorations, and that Christmas products are sold in store.

It does not publish tree prices or a date for the trees’ arrival online, so ring before a special trip.

Delivery and rental firms

6. Christmas on the Hill (delivery across London)

Christmas on the Hill describes itself as a family-run north London firm and sells cut trees or rents living ones. Its rental trees are Norway spruces in pots with roots and soil: it delivers one in December, collects it in January, and takes it back to its farm for the rest of the year, so you can have the same tree again.

It asks renters to keep the tree indoors no more than 25 days, or the deposit is not refunded. It says it delivers to all London postcodes, aims to deliver every tree by electric vehicle this year, and gives up to 20% of its profits to local schools through a scheme parents can sign up to.

Price cut tree 4ft £56, 5ft £68, 6ft £80, 7ft £100, 8ft £120, up to 12ft £235; rental 2ft £30, 3ft £45, 4ft £55, 5ft £65, 6ft £80, 7ft £95; delivery and rental deposit extra, shown at checkout

You can pay extra to have the tree carried in, set up, or set up with lights fitted, and it offers a January collection.

How we chose

We looked for sellers with a pitch or shop in the borough, or close enough to deliver into Barnet postcodes, plus firms that deliver across London, and kept only those whose own websites we could read on 5 November 2026. Pines and Needles’ Mill Hill pitch, listed in older roundups, is not on its 2026 list of stores. We left out TSP Christmas Trees, which a Finchley newsletter has reported trading near Henlys Corner, because we could not find a 2026 date or price from the seller itself, and a pick-your-own farm in Enfield whose website no longer works.
