Barnet Fireworks: Totteridge Confirmed for 6 November

Three displays serve this corner of north London. On 3 September 2026, two of them have a date and the biggest one does not. Totteridge is set for Friday 6 November and Hadley Wood for Sunday 1 November. StoneX Stadium in Hendon, where the borough’s largest display is held, has announced nothing at all.

Bonfire night itself, 5 November, falls on a Thursday this year, so every organised display sits either side of it.

Totteridge: Friday 6 November, confirmed

Totteridge Millhillians Cricket Club has fixed its Fireworks Night for 6th November 2026. The date is not on the club’s event listing or its ticket page. It is printed on the last page of the club’s own sponsorship pack, a PDF published on its website on 27 August under the heading “Sponsor Totteridge’s Biggest Community Event”.

The club is on Totteridge Green, N20 8PB, on the green itself. Two things are new this year. The club says that “for the first time” it will support Rays of Sunshine, a charity that grants wishes to seriously ill children, alongside the club. And it is openly hunting sponsors, at £10,000 for Platinum, £2,000 for Gold and £250 for Bronze, with smaller options covering a single stall or the new children’s games area. Not yet published: 2026 prices and the on-sale date. The club’s box office page is still advertising last year’s event, Friday 7 November 2025, which ran from 5.30pm to 1am with tickets between £8 and £35. That listing is the best guide to the shape of this year’s evening until the 2026 one goes up:

• gates, food stalls and children’s rides from 5.30pm
• bonfire lit at 6.30pm
• fireworks at 7.45pm
• bar, live band and fire pit until 1am

The club’s own conditions are worth reading before you go: card only, no cash taken, and no sparklers allowed. There is a licensed bar and hot food. The club warns that all times are approximate and can slip if conditions dictate.

Hadley Wood: Sunday 1 November, confirmed a year ago

The Hadley Wood Association fixed its date even earlier. Its own newsletter, the Hadley Wood News, says it on page 9: “we are delighted to confirm the date for next year’s HWA Fireworks Night: Sunday, 1 November 2026.”

What the same report tells you about how the night runs:

• it sold out last year, as it has before, so do not plan on paying at the gate
• the bonfire is lit before the fireworks, a change the association made last year and says residents liked
• there is a bar staffed by volunteers, and the display is sponsored by the estate agent Statons

The venue is the HWA Centre, 1-7 Crescent East, Hadley Wood EN4 0EL. One thing worth knowing before you set off: despite the EN4 postcode and the short hop from High Barnet, that address sits in the London Borough of Enfield, in Cockfosters ward, not in Barnet. It is still the nearest community display to the north of the borough. Ticket prices and an on-sale date have not been published.

StoneX Stadium, Hendon: the big one, and still unannounced

Saracens run the borough’s largest display at StoneX Stadium, NW4 1RL, the old Barnet Copthall. Nothing has been published for 2026. The club’s news archive runs to 1 September 2026 and a search of its own site for “fireworks” returns only four announcements, all from previous years.

Those four are worth laying out, because the pattern is tight and it tells you when to look:

Last year’s announcement went up on 2 September, a year ago this week. On that timetable this year’s is overdue by days rather than months.

Prices have held for three years: £12 for adults and £6 for under-16s, with 25 per cent off for Seasonal Members through their account. Alongside the fireworks the club promises music, performers and mascots.

One clue on the likely date. Saracens have confirmed they host Newcastle Red Bulls at StoneX on Saturday 7 November in the PREM Rugby Cup, with the caveat that all dates remain subject to broadcast selection. The display has been tied to a matchday before: in 2023 it followed a home game against Leicester Tigers and ticket holders could stay on for it, and in 2022 the club screened an away game and then let off the fireworks. That makes 7 November the obvious candidate. It is an inference, not an announcement.

One warning about what you will read elsewhere. Londonist’s London-wide fireworks round-up lists the Hendon display with gates at 4.30pm and a 6.30pm start, but it files it under events that “happened last year” and gives no 2026 date. Those are last year’s times.

Parking, and why it matters most at StoneX

The Saracens parking page is unusually strict, and the rules cover stadium events as well as matches:

• On-site parking is P1, by the South Stand near gate A, NW4 1RL. For events other than Men’s matches it can be booked online.
• Parking tickets are emailed with the event tickets, roughly 10 days ahead, and must be printed on A4 paper and displayed in the vehicle. The club says there is no digital ticket option for parking.
• P2 is Blue Badge only, is limited, and can only be booked through Supporter Services on supporterservices@saracens.net or 0203 870 3303, with proof of a valid badge.

The club also names four off-site car parks with its own walk times: Hasmonean School for Girls, NW7 2EU at the Page Street entrance, 14 minutes; Dollis School, NW7 2BU at the Pursley Road entrance, 18 minutes; St Mary’s and St John’s CE School, NW4 1AB, 28 minutes; and Middlesex University, NW4 4JR at the Greyhound Hill entrance, 30 minutes.

Totteridge is the opposite problem. The club publishes no parking arrangements at all, and the ground sits on the green among houses rather than behind a car park. The nearest Underground stop is Totteridge and Whetstone on the Northern line. For StoneX it is Mill Hill East, on the other Northern line branch.

What the council has published: nothing

Barnet Council does not run a borough fireworks display, and no traffic order for one has been advertised. We read back the current traffic notices published for Barnet postcodes on the Public Notice Portal on 3 September, across the borough and the districts that touch it. Not one advertises a road closure for a fireworks display. The Barnet traffic notices are all utility works, parking bays and resurfacing. If a display needs a road closed, that order normally appears in late October.

One other November date is already fixed. LoveBarnet’s town diary lists the Remembrance Sunday parade on Barnet High Street on Sunday 8 November 2026, with the note “details to follow”. Times and the route have not been published.

One listing to ignore

A “Bonfire night” page at St James New Barnet, on East Barnet Road, surfaces in searches for fireworks in the borough. Its own event record is dated 5th November 2017. It is not a listing for this year.
