Brent Cross On Ice opens on 23 October and runs to 3 January. 45-minute sessions on the hour, £15 adults, £13 children, skate hire included. Times and parking.
Yes, Barnet has an ice rink this winter. Brent Cross On Ice opens outside Brent Cross Shopping Centre on Friday 23 October 2026 and runs until Sunday 3 January 2027. Sessions last 45 minutes and start on the hour. Tickets are £15 for adults (13 and over) and £13 for children (12 and under), with skate hire included, and they are on sale now.
Those are the shopping centre’s own dates, from its ice skating page, which puts the rink in the John Lewis car park. The operator, On Ice, gives the address as Prince Charles Drive, Hendon, NW4 3FP, and the prices and session pattern below come from its Brent Cross page and its live booking system, both read on 6 October 2026.
Dates and session times
The booking system lists 575 sessions, from 3pm on 23 October to the last one at 8pm on 3 January. The pattern is simple:
- Monday to Friday in term time: six sessions, 3pm to 8pm (the last one ends at 8.45pm)
- Saturdays and Sundays: eleven sessions, 10am to 8pm
- From Saturday 19 December: eleven sessions a day, 10am to 8pm, every day to 3 January except the Christmas and New Year changes below
A session ends at the same time for everyone, so a late arrival means less time on the ice. On Ice asks skaters to turn up 20 minutes early. After each session the ice is resurfaced for 15 minutes.
Half term catch. The booking system has no morning or early afternoon sessions on the weekdays of October half term, Monday 26 to Friday 30 October. Those days run the term-time pattern, 3pm to 8pm. The two weekends either side, 24 and 25 October and 31 October, have the full 10am to 8pm day.

Prices
On Ice’s price list for Brent Cross:
- Adult (13 and over): £15
- Child (12 and under): £13
- Family of four: £50, which must include at least one adult (two adults and two children, or one adult and three children)
- Student: £13, at the box office only, with valid student ID
- Groups of more than 15: £13 each, at the box office
- Season pass: £250, at the box office only, skate any session
- Skate aid: £5, a push-along penguin for under-10s shorter than 110cm, limited in number, so book one with your ticket
The booking system also shows a £10 Pre-Launch ticket against every session. It is not on On Ice’s published price list, so treat it as an early-booking rate that may go once the rink opens.
Tickets are non-refundable. On Ice says they can be passed to someone else, and a booking can be moved to another session if you ask at least seven days ahead. The minimum age is three, helmets are available, and you can bring your own skates (speed skates are not allowed) though the price stays the same.
Getting there and parking
On Ice says parking at Brent Cross Shopping Centre is free, and names Brent Cross Underground station on the Northern line as the nearest public transport.
Driving has a complication this winter. TfL started rebuilding the A41 Brent Cross flyover at the start of October, and the flyover and its approaches are down to one lane each way, with overnight closures on the A41 and the North Circular. Our Brent Cross flyover story has the closure dates, and Barnet roadworks and travel has everything else on the borough’s roads. For council car parks elsewhere in the borough, see parking in Barnet.
Is there another ice rink in Barnet?
Not that we can find. Brent Cross is the borough’s only seasonal rink with published 2026 dates. Brent Cross Town’s festive event at Claremont Park last year was a lights switch-on on 26 November 2025, with no skating (Brent Cross Town). More festive things to do are on our pages for the Barnet Christmas Fayre, the Barnet pantomime and Barnet’s Christmas lights, and the month ahead is on what’s on in Barnet.
